SANlight Undercanopy STIXX 4-100 is a four-module light for illuminating the lower layers of deeper and denser crops around 100 cm. In lush plants, top light does not reach the lower branches and the fruit there remains sparser - undercanopy 4-100 supplements this zone from below and evens out crop quality. It offers 254 µmol/s at 94 W in full spectrum, with IP68 protection for demanding operation.

Installation and power supply

The undercanopy version is placed low among the plants on the undercanopy stand, which is purchased separately; alternatively, it can be mounted using spacers or a mounting kit. Electrically it is the same light as the top-light, so it does not light on its own and needs a Driver Set STIXX 4 (215-910 W; it can power 2 to 5 4-100 lights at full output).

The difference is in use: it is mounted low and shines into the lower layers of the plants, while the top-light hangs above the plants as the main lighting. The undercanopy light is added to the top light, not a replacement for it.

How much undercanopy light should be added to the top lighting?

Undercanopy is supplementary lighting, not a replacement for the main light. It is chosen according to crop density and how deeply the top light penetrates - with denser plants, it makes sense to add more lower lights. You can fine-tune the intensity with dimming on the driver. For continuous area coverage, SANlight also offers ready-made undercanopy sets.

Driver Set STIXX 4 - the 4-100 series has its own driver range (215, 400, 610 and 910 W). According to SANlight's official table, it can power 2 to 5 lights at full output (215 W two, 400 and 610 W three, 910 W five). The driver, cables and undercanopy stand are purchased separately.
