Humidifiers
Humidity is very important in the grow room, greenhouse or grow box. It affects plant development and their health. A humidifier is especially useful during the winter months, when intensive heating dries out the room, or when pre-growing young plants or cloning. Popular humidifiers include Supermist, Humipro or the small humidifier M1.

A humidifier releases a fine mist into the space. It is an elegant solution for cases when your plants or you yourself are dealing with air that is too dry. A typical example is rooms dried out by intensive heating during the winter months, but this practical helper for gardening and the home is also useful during hot summer days.
The humidifier is also indispensable for cloning and pre-growing young plants. Seedlings and young plants require higher air humidity, and a quality humidifier with very economical operation is an ideal way to easily provide them with optimal conditions.
You can choose from a wide range of devices with different performance for adjusting humidity, whether inside a grow tent or any room. Therefore, adapt your choice of device primarily to the size of the space.
You can choose between classic humidifiers, which produce mist by heating water. An alternative is ultrasonic humidifiers, which vibrate a membrane on which the water sits using a sound inaudible to humans. They create a very fine mist that is cool and does not increase the room temperature. At the same time, distilled water must be used in them so that the membrane is not damaged by deposits.
Our customers have, for example, taken a liking to the ultrasonic humidifier HUMIPRO equipped with a clear LED display and a double nozzle with 360° rotation. The Supermist offers double tank capacity for flora and fauna. The RAM brand comes with a unique solution for your grow room, namely a wall-mounted humidifier with a water filter that you connect directly to the water supply.
Do you need to reduce humidity or deal with mould in the flat instead? Use a dehumidifier.
Frequently asked questions
What air humidity do plants like?
Seedlings, cuttings and young plants need the most humidity - they prefer higher levels. As the plant grows, its humidity requirements gradually decrease. A humidifier helps you keep the level stable, especially during dry periods when heating or hot summer weather dries out the air.
What water should be used in an ultrasonic humidifier?
Ultrasonic models require distilled or demineralised water. Tap water contains minerals that settle on the membrane, shorten its service life and leave a white coating around the area. Classic heated humidifiers are more tolerant in this respect.
How should the humidifier output be chosen?
The decisive factor is the size of the space. For a small grow tent or propagation room, a compact model with a smaller tank is enough; for an entire room, choose a device with a larger tank capacity and higher mist output - otherwise you will often need to top up the water.
A humidifier, or a dehumidifier straight away?
It depends on which direction you need to address. A humidifier adds water to the air (dry heating period, cloning), while a dehumidifier removes it (excess humidity, risk of mould). If you fluctuate in both directions, it is useful to monitor humidity with a sensor and switch the appropriate device accordingly.
