For indoor growing purposes, diamond reflective film is generally very popular among growers. Fortunately, it does not cost as much as real diamonds and is easily available. By diamond we mean luxurious silver-white film with a diamond pattern, which you can also buy at a price per metre!

The Diamond ECO film allows precise 99.9% light reflection, does not crease, and besides almost total reflectivity it also stands out for heat dissipation. Installing this film helps achieve better plant growth and flowering, and prevents the growth of unwanted algae or mould. The PET layer protects against corrosion and wear, so you can expect a long service life. The film is made of completely non-toxic material, meets strict food-grade standards, and is easy to maintain. The aluminium layers block radio waves.

If you are thinking bigger or simply have a greater need, or a larger area to cover, it is definitely worth buying the film in a larger quantity - for example in 100 m lengths.

How does diamond film differ from white or Mylar film?

The embossed diamond pattern scatters reflected light to the sides, reducing hot spots directly under the lamp and spreading the light more evenly across the whole area. Smooth white film reflects more diffusely, while pure mirror-like Mylar reflects directionally - diamond is a practical compromise between the two.

Which side of the film should face the wall?

The silver diamond surface faces inwards towards the plants and the lamp, while the matte or PET side of the film is placed against the tent wall. Only then will you make full use of the reflectivity.

How should diamond film be attached and maintained?

The film is easy to cut to size and attach with double-sided tape or clips. The surface can be wiped and washed, so you can easily remove dust and spray residue and the reflectivity will remain intact.

Is it worth buying film in a roll or by the metre?

For one small tent, a shorter piece by the metre is enough. If you are lining an entire grow room or several tents, a roll - for example 10 m or 100 m - works out cheaper and gives you a reserve for future adjustments.
