Rolling papers differ in material, length, thickness and whether the pack also includes filters. Once you know what you expect from them, choosing is much easier - a thin unbleached sheet burns differently from a hemp paper.
How to choose rolling papers
- Length and format - short 1 1/4 (for example Smoking Deluxe) for a quick roll, long King Size Slim (Mascotte, RAW) for more relaxed rolling, or endless rolls (OCB), from which you tear off exactly as much as you want.
- Material - ultra-thin unbleached paper burns gently and is almost flavourless, hemp paper (RAW Organic Hemp, Pure Hemp) is a little more pronounced and natural, bamboo paper (OCB Bamboo) is strong and burns slowly.
- With filters or without - many packs also include paper filters (OCB Slim Bamboo, OCB Rolls+Filters), so you have everything together and do not need to buy filters separately.
- Packaging - individual booklets for trying out, or value boxes (24 to 50 pcs) for anyone who rolls regularly.

Long-standing favourites include unbleached OCB papers (Virgin Slim, Bamboo and rolls), slow-burning RAW Organic Hemp and Black, elegant Mascotte Brown with magnetic closure, and classic Smoking Deluxe. Anyone who wants everything in one place will appreciate ready-made sets with a grinder and tray.
Are unbleached papers better?
Unbleached papers have not undergone chemical bleaching, so they are usually naturally brown and many people prefer their taste. The difference is mainly in the paper treatment, not necessarily in quality.
What does King Size Slim mean?
King Size Slim is a long and narrow paper format (roughly 44 x 109 mm). It gives you more space than short papers while still remaining thin.
Do I need a filter with rolling papers?
A filter (tip) helps keep its shape, prevents material from falling through and is more comfortable to hold. Some packs already include filters; otherwise you can buy them separately.
What are rolls papers?
Rolls is a continuous strip of paper (for example 4 metres) on a roll - you tear off exactly the length you need, so you are not limited by a fixed size.
