Aeroponic Systems
Aeroponic systems are innovative methods of growing plants that differ from traditional cultivation in soil or other media. This method uses air space and mist to provide plant roots with an optimal environment for growth. Aeroponic systems are an important step towards a more sustainable and efficient way of growing crops. These systems are used both in commercial agriculture and in home gardens in order to achieve maximum growth, yield and plant quality.

The most advanced systems for indoor plant growing!
Aeroponics brings growers the pure pleasure of exceptionally fast and intensive development of all kinds of plants, and in terms of results it even outperforms hydroponics.
In these sophisticated systems, the nutrient solution is applied directly to roots growing in the air. You therefore do not need any growing medium at all.
Discover technologies that are even used by NASA scientists for research into plant cultivation in space. You can choose from a whole range of proven variants. It all depends on how ambitious your plans and possibilities are.
Our TIP: Among the best-selling systems designed for aeroponics is, for example, the popular Aeroflo 40.
How to choose an aeroponic system
The key is how many plants you want to grow and at what stage. Compact aeroponic propagation units are used for pre-growing cuttings and seedlings (for example X-Stream for 12 to 80 plants), where nutrient mist kick-starts rapid rooting. For full-scale growing right through to harvest, choose large systems - the Terra Aquatica GrowStream range is available from 10 to 80 plants, and Amazon systems offer active jet distribution of aerosol. Choose according to the number of growing positions and the volume of the nutrient solution tank.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between aeroponics and hydroponics?
In hydroponics, the roots are submerged in a nutrient solution or in an inert medium that holds the solution. In aeroponics, the roots hang freely in the air and the nutrient solution is applied to them in the form of a fine mist or aerosol. The roots therefore have constant access to oxygen, which speeds up growth.
Do I need a growing medium for aeroponics?
No. The very absence of a growing medium is the essence of aeroponics - the plant is held in a basket and the roots grow into the air, where they are sprayed with nutrient mist. This removes the work involved with growing medium and its disposal.
Is aeroponics suitable for beginners?
Aeroponics is more demanding to control than growing in a growing medium - the system relies on the continuous operation of the pump and nozzles, so it is important to monitor both functionality and solution values. Beginners often start with a smaller propagation unit, where they can get to grips with the technique before moving on to a large system.
