Pre-fertilised BioBizz Substrate

The BioBizz brand is based on a simple idea: give plants living soil, not just a sterile medium. Its pre-fertilised soil mixes are organic, with active soil life and the ability to regulate pH on their own. Depending on the growing stage, you can choose the heavily pre-fertilised All Mix, the lighter Light Mix, or the peat-free Peat Free range.

This manufacturer’s strength in pre-fertilised soil substrates is certified premium organic soil designed for growing at home and outdoors. Depending on your individual needs, you can choose pre-fertilised soil mixes in bags of various sizes. If you want to achieve a BIO-quality harvest in soil, BioBizz is certainly a good choice, especially when using organic nutrition from the same brand.

All Mix in small and large packaging will provide your plants with enough nutrients during the vegetative phase and for several additional weeks. Fertilisers make up a full 10% of the total composition, enriched with perlite for perfect aeration of the substrate (5%). All Mix will maximise support for your plants’ root system, giving them an ideal environment for vigorous development. This peat mix has high EC and the ability to self-regulate pH. Before planting - after moistening with water, be sure to leave it to rest for at least 36 hours so that the soil life is activated.

The light and airy BioBizz Light Mix substrate contains nutrition for only the first week of the growing cycle. It is ideal for home growing of a wide range of herbs, vegetables or fruit in pots and window boxes, as well as for cultivating plants outdoors in a bed or in a greenhouse. It is also excellent for cultivating cuttings and seedlings. It has medium levels of electrical conductivity of the solution and stands out for its ability to self-regulate pH.

Worm castings are used to refresh the substrate and are rich in the most important nutrients (NPK) as well as beneficial bacteria and fungi. If you grow in open soil, you can use them as an effective fertiliser.

Our TIP: The soil mixes from the BioBizz brand work very well with the loose fertiliser Premix available in 5 and 25 litre packs.

Frequently asked questions about BioBizz substrates

Do I need to supplement BioBizz substrate with liquid fertilisers?

It depends on the mix. Light Mix carries nutrients for roughly the first week only, so you start with liquid nutrition (for example the Bio-Grow and Bio-Bloom range) early and have full control over dosing. The heavily pre-fertilised All Mix feeds plants on its own for the first few weeks, and you only start supplementing later, once the substrate is depleted.

Which mix should I choose for seedlings and cuttings?

For young plants, cuttings and seedlings, the lightly pre-fertilised Light Mix is more suitable - the strong dose of nutrients in All Mix could burn sensitive roots. Transplant into All Mix only more developed plants with an established root system.

Can BioBizz also be used outdoors in a bed?

Yes. BioBizz soil mixes work in pots and window boxes at home, in a greenhouse and outdoors in a bed. For refreshing exhausted outdoor soil, worm castings (Worm Humus) are suitable, as they provide organic nutrients and beneficial microflora.

What is the difference between the peat-free Peat Free range?

Peat Free is a sustainable peat-free alternative that mimics rich outdoor soil with an active microbial ecosystem. It is chosen by growers who care about protecting peat bogs, while still retaining strong pre-fertilisation like the classic All Mix.
