The Monkey Solid range is part of the Monkey Soil assortment alongside the Liquids liquid fertilisers and Microlife products that support soil life. As the name suggests, these are solid products which, unlike liquid fertilisers, are applied directly to the substrate.
The advantage of the solid form is the slower release of nutrients into the soil - the fertiliser therefore works for longer and nutrients enter the substrate gradually, instead of a one-off dose during watering. This is especially useful for longer-term replenishment of organic matter directly into the growing medium.
Monkey Solid solid fertilisers complement Monkey Liquids liquid fertilisers well as part of regular watering - by combining both forms, you provide the substrate with both quickly available and long-releasing nutrients.
