A ventilation kit is a ready-made air extraction solution for a grow tent or a smaller grow room - in one package you get an extract fan, carbon odour filter, air ducting and a rope ratchet hanging system. All parts have the same diameter and are matched to each other, so there is no need to look for reducers or to solve whether the filter can handle the fan output. It is the easiest way to ensure air exchange in the tent while keeping odours under control.
How to choose a kit
The key factor is the diameter, which depends on the tent size and the required air flow. A smaller tent is fine with 100 mm, a medium one with 125 mm, and a large space needs 150 mm. In the set, the carbon filter is usually sized with a reserve above the fan output so it can capture odours even at full speed. Trafika kit overview:

The Trafika KIT Extractor 100 mm set consists of a two-speed fan with an output of up to 187 m3/h, a carbon filter for 250 m3/h, 5 m of COMBI ducting and rope ratchet hangers - a tuned set for a smaller tent. The stronger 125 and 150 mm versions handle a larger room volume and higher air exchange.
Who are the kits for
The kit is especially appreciated by anyone building their first tent and not wanting to deal with compatibility between individual parts, as well as by growers who want to save time compared with assembling the system piece by piece. If you want to build the extract system yourself or replace just one part, you can also find the components separately - in the categories duct fans, carbon odour filters and ventilation ducting. You can then fine-tune the fan speed using speed control.
What is included in a ventilation kit?
Standardly an extract fan, carbon odour filter, air ducting (usually 5 m) and a rope ratchet hanging system. All parts have the same diameter.
Which kit diameter should I choose for an 80x80 cm tent?
For a smaller tent around 80x80 cm, a 100 mm kit is usually enough. For larger tents, choose 125 or 150 mm depending on the room volume.
Why does the filter have a higher output than the fan?
The filter is sized with a reserve so it can capture odours even at full fan speed. An undersised filter would not be able to clean the odours fast enough.
Do I need to buy reducers for the set?
No, the kit is matched in one diameter, so the fan, filter and ducting fit together without any additional reducers.
