Dehumidifiers
If the humidity in a (grow) room gets too high, you can reduce it with a dehumidifier. Electric dehumidifiers are a quick and easy solution for any apartment, bathroom or grow tent. Modern dehumidifiers are power-effective and easy to maintain.
How does it work? The device takes in humid air and condenses the water contained in it. The water collects inside the device, and the dehumidifier shuts off automatically when it's full. Some dehumidifiers use thermoelectric cooling to condense the water, which is less noisy but less effective. Some use a coolant and work based on the same process as a fridge does - these are way more effective but also make more noise.
High humidity creates better conditions for moulds and fungi - if you're not cultivating mushrooms, you should keep it in check. Dehumidifiers prevent the spread of moulds and are typically placed in the corner of an old house, bathroom, or grow room.
You can connect the dehumidifier to a socket hygrostat, which will automatically turn it on or off depending on the relative humidity in the room.
You can take your pick from several devices with different outputs. Above all else, you should choose a dehumidifier according to the size of the space you'll be using it in.
Do you have the opposite problem and need to increase the humidity in a greenhouse or a grow tent? Use a humidifier!
