SANlight STIXX is a range of professional LED luminaires from the Austrian brand SANlight, built around one principle - to get light exactly where the plant needs it. You will find two types here: powerful main lights (top light) for overhead lighting and special undercanopy luminaires for illuminating the lower levels. STIXX is suitable for low installation heights, vertical systems and compact tents, where even coverage of the area is key.
Top light or undercanopy - what is the difference
Choosing the type is the first decision you will face:
- Main lights (top light) - mounted above the crop as the primary light source for the entire growing space. Choose them if you are building tent lighting from scratch.
- Undercanopy lights - placed between plants or below the upper layer and illuminate flowers that would otherwise remain in the shade. They increase overall uniformity and space utilisation in denser crops.
How to choose size and output
The individual STIXX models differ in length and output, and the designation corresponds to the size. As a guide from the smallest to the largest:

If you want everything together, SANlight also offers complete STIXX SET assemblies including power supply, both for top light (for example STIXX 3-80 SET) and ready-made undercanopy sets for specific areas from 100x100 to 150x300 cm. Separate power units from STIXX accessories are also suitable for the luminaires.
What is undercanopy lighting and what is it good for?
Undercanopy lights illuminate the lower parts of plants that normally remain in the shade of the upper foliage. This supports the development of lower flowers and increases the overall yield from the area without enlarging the tent itself.
Can I use STIXX as the only tent lighting?
Yes, top light STIXX models are designed as the main light source. Undercanopy variants are, by contrast, an addition - on their own they do not light the upper crop, and they are combined with the main light.
