Replacement probes for pH and EC metres

When readings start jumping around or cannot be recalibrated, the culprit is usually a worn electrode - not the whole device. Here you will find replacement probes and electrodes for pH and EC metres from our range: Milwaukee, Aqua Master Tools, Bluelab and Trolmaster.

Not sure which probe fits your metre? Write to us at info@higarden.cz and we will check compatibility for you.

Why replace the probe and not the whole metre

pH and EC electrodes are consumable parts - over time they wear out, hold calibration less well and measure more slowly or inaccurately. Replacing the probe itself is cheaper than buying a new device, and the metre regains full accuracy. That is why manufacturers offer replaceable electrodes with the same connector for many models.

How to choose the right replacement probe

  • By device - the probe must match the specific metre (for example Milwaukee MW100, pH51, Aqua Master Tools P110 PRO or Bluelab pH Pen). Using the model name is the most reliable way.
  • pH or EC - each value requires a different electrode; combined devices (pH/EC/temperature) either have a shared probe or separate electrodes for pH and EC.
  • Connector - laboratory and inline probes usually have a universal BNC connector, while pen-style metres have a probe tied directly to the specific model.
  • Purpose - one electrode is for measuring in solution, another for direct use in soil and substrate.

Our range includes replacement electrodes from Milwaukee (from simple probes for pH51 and pH55 to combined ones for MW802 and MW804), replaceable probes from Aqua Master Tools for the P and E PRO series, replacement probes from Bluelab and inline probes from Trolmaster for the Aqua-X system. It pays to have a spare electrode ready before the current one completely wears out in the middle of a cycle.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know a probe is worn out?

Typical signs are slow stabilisation of the reading, fluctuating values, difficult calibration or persistently unreliable numbers even after cleaning and recalibration. That is usually a sign that the electrode has reached the end of its life.

Will a replacement probe fit my metre?

Probes are tied to specific models or ranges of devices. Choose according to your metre name; with a BNC connector, compatibility is broader. If you are not sure, we will be happy to check compatibility for you.

How can I keep the probe working for as long as possible?

Store the pH electrode wet in storage solution, never let it dry out, calibrate regularly and rinse it after use. Proper care will noticeably extend the probe's service life.

Do I need to calibrate after replacing the probe?

Yes. Always calibrate the new electrode with calibration solutions before the first measurement so the device reads accurately.
