Detailed information

Product detailed description

Mandatory end plug for unused STIXX driver ports

The STIXX driver has more DC ports than you would usually connect luminaires to. According to the SANlight manual, every unused port must be fitted with a termination plug - without it, there is a risk of damage to the system. It is a cheap but indispensable part of every STIXX setup: fit the plug during assembly, before you connect the driver to the mains.

Parameters

  • Type: termination plug (end plug), AI5010
  • Connector: M19 5-PIN / DC port of the driver
  • Use: closing unused STIXX driver ports

Compatibility

Compatible:

Incompatible:

  • SANlight coupling plug 22267 for EVO/Q-Series - a different, Wieland system (do not confuse)
  • STIXX 50 - it does not have a modular driver, so the plug is not used

Frequently asked questions

Why do I have to fit unused driver ports with a plug?

The SANlight manual for the STIXX series explicitly requires unused DC ports to be fitted with a termination plug. Without it, the system may be damaged. The driver typically has more outputs than you will connect luminaires to, so every free port must be closed before you connect the setup to the mains.

How many plugs will I need?

As many as the number of driver ports you leave unconnected. It is easy to calculate: the number of driver outputs minus the number of connected luminaires or splitters. Each remaining free port gets one termination plug. If the driver is fully occupied, you do not need to deal with any.

Is it the same as the plug for EVO?

No. The STIXX termination plug (AI5010) is for modular STIXX series drivers with an M19 connector. The coupling plug for EVO/Q-Series is for a completely different, Wieland system and they cannot be interchanged. For STIXX 50, the plug is not used because it has its own integrated power supply without a modular driver.
