Light is the heart of every grow room, but without the right accessories you will not be able to connect or hang it properly. In this section you will find the small items that decide whether the lighting hangs safely, can be controlled and does not shine in your eyes with a colour that plants do not perceive anyway.
What belongs here and what it is for
- Cables and adapters - connecting and extension cables for remote control of LEDs (for example Control Link on Lumatek Zeus lights) and adapters between UK and EU plugs when a light with a British plug arrives.
- Sockets and reducers - sockets for securing a discharge lamp in a reflector and ceramic reducers, for example from E-40 to PGZX for CMH discharge lamps.
- Mounts and hangers - sturdy mounts and rope hangers such as Rope Ratchet, which let you hang the light comfortably and safely and smoothly change its height above the crop.
- Green light - green lighting and head torches with a green LED, which you can use to work during the dark phase without disturbing the plants' dark period.
- Glasses - special glasses that restore natural colours under coloured LED or discharge lighting, so you can see the true colour of the plants and easily identify their actual condition.
What to consider when choosing
The most common decision is about control and hanging. Dimmable LED ranges are best paired with the original controllers and connecting cables of the given brand - with LED panels from Lumatek or Maxibright Daylight, one controller can manage an entire range of lights at once. For hanging, pay attention mainly to the load capacity of the hanger in relation to the weight of the light, filter or reflector; rope systems with a ratchet also let you fine-tune the height in one movement according to how the plants grow.

Why is green light used when growing?
Plants practically do not perceive green light, so during the dark phase you can check the crop or water under a green head torch without disturbing their dark period.
What are special grow glasses for?
They filter the colouring of discharge or LED light and restore natural colours to the image. Thanks to them, you can more easily detect the true colour of leaves in the grow room and recognise in time a problem that yellow or purple light would otherwise hide.
How do you hang a heavy light in a tent?
Use a rope hanger with a ratchet (Rope Ratchet) and watch its load capacity - common pairs can handle tens of kilograms. This lets you hang the light safely and adjust its height without tools.
