What is the difference between a manual and a hydraulic press?
A manual press works with hand force and is suitable for smaller amounts of material and occasional use. A hydraulic press develops significantly higher and more even pressure (up to 20 tonnes on the strongest model), so it can handle larger batches and deliver a more stable result.
What is the heated pressing surface for?
The combination of pressure and gentle heat helps the resin release from the plant material and flow through the bag more easily. Heated plates are therefore standard on Rosin Press presses and contribute to a cleaner yield.
Which extraction bag grade should I choose?
The grade is given in microns (in the range of roughly 25 to 160 u). Finer bags let through less plant residue and produce a cleaner extract, while coarser ones have a higher flow rate. The choice depends on the material and the required purity of the output.
What are extracts stored in?
Silicone cases and pads are used for storing and handling, from which the extract comes away easily and does not stick. We offer them in various sizes, the original from the Qnubu brand.
