Do you need to keep the air in your growing space clean and odour-free, but do not want to overpay? Airontek carbon filters are an affordable choice for smaller tents and boxes, where it is enough to reliably capture odours without burdening the budget or the structure. The activated carbon inside captures odour molecules that the fan pulls through the filter, so the extract air leaves free of the scent of your plants.

How to choose an Airontek filter

The key parameters are two - flange diameter and airflow in m3/h. The flange must fit the neck of your fan and ducting so that the connection seals properly. The filter airflow should match the fan output, ideally with a small reserve - an undersised filter creates resistance and reduces extraction. In the category you will find compact models with 100 mm and 125 mm flanges and airflow around 240 m3/h, which are suitable for smaller boxes and propagation rooms.

Where to place Airontek

Airontek represents the entry-level, affordable class of odour filtration. If you are looking for longer service life or a stronger layer of carbon for a larger space, also take a look at the Can-Filters or Prima Klima ranges. For a first tent, occasional use or as a second filter on the intake, Airontek will do its job without unnecessary costs.

Frequently asked questions

Which Airontek filter flange should I choose?

Follow the neck of your fan and the diameter of the ducting. The most common is 125 mm; 100 mm is suitable for smaller setups. The filter and fan flanges should match so that the connection seals without reducers.

How long does a carbon filter work?

The service life of activated carbon depends on humidity, load and air cleanliness. Protect the filter with a pre-filter and do not operate it in persistently high humidity - damp carbon loses effectiveness. Clean the pre-filter regularly; this will extend the life of the filling.

Does the filter have to run all the time?

For continuous odour neutralisation, the filter is connected to the extract together with the fan, which also ensures air exchange. If you only filter occasionally, it can be fitted on the intake as a second stage of air cleaning entering the space.
