A pot that lets roots breathe - HERCULES aerated pots have holes around the perimeter through which air reaches the roots. The roots then do not curl around the walls, but branch more densely and absorb nutrients more efficiently. Choose round or square shapes for hydroponics and conventional growing.

Square, or round pots in a special shape with holes for maximum air access to the roots of your plants mean plenty of benefits at a great price!
Dense roots that do not unnecessarily curl around the walls of the pot absorb nutrients much more efficiently. Thanks to the aerated roots, you avoid waterlogging and the risk of mould or disease drops to a minimum.
The HERCULES pot, whichever volume you choose from the 5 to 35 litre range, is ideal for hydroponics and automatic drip irrigation, because to impress you as much as possible with its practical properties, it requires more frequent watering. Then you can simply look forward to vigorous plants and large juicy fruits...
Round or square?
Functionally they are equal - they mainly differ in how they fit next to each other. Square pots use the tent space without gaps, so more plants fit into the same area. Round pots are easier to turn and handle. You will find both shapes in the HERCULES range across the volumes.
Why do they have holes and what do they do to the roots?
The holes in the outer shell let air reach the roots. A root that reaches the wall in a standard pot curls round and round; here, in the air, it stops growing and the plant instead forms new side roots. The result is a denser root ball that absorbs nutrients more efficiently and is less prone to waterlogging.
Do they require more frequent watering?
Yes. Because the substrate is aerated and dries out faster, HERCULES needs watering more often than a closed plastic pot. That is precisely why it is suitable for hydroponics and especially for automatic drip irrigation, which takes care of topping up the water for you.
Which volume should you choose?
Follow the size of the plant and the length of cultivation - smaller volumes of around 5 litres are enough for compact or short-term grown plants, while larger volumes of up to 35 litres give space for strong roots and longer growth. If you are unsure, choose the larger one - the roots will appreciate the space.
