List of products
The seed decides how the whole season turns out - even with perfect light and fertiliser, you will only get as much as the seed contains. That is why you will find seed sorted by what you want to grow here: fast microgreens for the windowsill, hot chilli peppers, classic tomatoes and peppers, aromatic herbs, ornamental plants and grass mixtures for the garden.
How to choose seeds
- Purpose of growing - for a quick healthy addition to a salad, choose microgreens (Daikon radish, rocket, kohlrabi, mustard); for a fruit crop, choose tomatoes, peppers and chilli peppers.
- Difficulty - you can harvest microgreens in 7 to 14 days and even a complete beginner can manage them; chilli peppers require warm pre-growing and patience.
- Pack size according to use - for microgreens, choose between a small 50 g pack for trying out and a large 500 g pack for regular sowing; for vegetables, it is more about the number of seeds in the packet.
What do growers buy from us
For microgreens, white Daikon radish, rocket and mustard are popular - the sprouts are rich in vitamins (A, B, C, E, K) and minerals such as calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium. Among garden vegetables, varieties of the MoravoSeed brand are a staple, such as the AZTEK bush balcony tomato, which you can grow even in a window box on the balcony. Whatever you choose, a quality sowing substrate and stable warmth will provide a good start.
When should microgreens be sown?
Any time of year - they grow indoors regardless of the weather outside, and it usually takes only one to two weeks from sowing to harvest.
Do I need to soak seeds before sowing?
For microgreens and larger seeds (mustard, radish), soaking for several hours can help kick-start germination; small herb seeds are sown dry on the surface.
Why are my seeds not germinating?
The most common causes are cold, overwatering or sowing too deeply. Small seeds should only be sown shallowly under the surface, and the substrate should be moist, not muddy.
