Does AutoPot really work without electricity and a pump?
Yes. Water flows by gravity from a raised tank, and the AQUAvalve mechanical valve controls the dosing, so you do not need a pump, timer or socket. Just place the tank above the level of the pots.
How long can the system run unattended?
Depending on the tank volume, for several days. The valve tops up water only when the plant uses it, so with a sufficiently large tank or FlexiTank you can go away for the weekend without worry.
Can I grow in soil with AutoPot, or only hydroponically?
It works with both approaches. It is suitable for soil mixes as well as coco and expanded clay; in soil, a combination with tablet fertilisers works well, but it can handle practically any nutrition.
Can the system later be expanded with additional pots?
Yes, the set is modular. Just connect another pot with a valve to the same distribution line and you can run the system from one tank.
