A disposable sterile scalpel is the basis of precise cuts at the perfect angle leading to successful cuttings.
Your plants also deserve a manicure; for trimming leaves, use for example small scissors with an eye PRO CUT, which are the best-selling product in this category. They will last you for years!
Large gardening scissors for shaping larger plants are available from us in two versions, namely straight or curved.
In our shop you can also buy an ergonomic trowel, a hand pruning folding saw, two-handed geared scissors that make work easier, and other tools...
Which scissors for what
The type of cut matters. For delicate trimming of leaves and harvest manicure, reach for small precision scissors with short sharp blades (PRO CUT, Japanese Saboten) - the small tips can get even between dense growth. For woody stems and thicker branches, use large gardening scissors or two-handed geared scissors, which handle the cut with less force. For clean cuts when taking cuttings, a sterile scalpel is ideal. Whatever you choose, keep the blades clean and free of residue - Scissor Fix or ProKling soap for removing resin will help.
Frequently asked questions
Which scissors are best for delicate harvest trimming?
Choose small scissors with a short sharp blade, such as PRO CUT with an eye or Japanese Saboten. The short tip allows precise cuts even in dense growth and puts less strain on the hand.
How often should scissor blades be cleaned?
Ideally after every longer cutting session, or continuously during work. Dried resin will stick to and blunt the blade - Scissor Fix blade cleaner or ProKling soap will dissolve it.
Straight or curved scissors?
Straight blades are versatile and easy to see during precise cuts, while curved ones are suitable for hard-to-reach places and for cutting close to the stem. The PRO CUT range is available in both versions.
