Probe-free thermometers and hygrometers
Temperature and humidity determine how well plants thrive - and you can check them fastest with a device that has sensors built in. Probe-free thermometers and hygrometers can simply be placed or hung in a tent or grow room, and you can immediately see whether the climate is right.
Not sure whether a probe-free model is enough for you, or whether you need to measure elsewhere too? Contact us at info@higarden.cz and we will fine-tune it together.

Probe-free thermometers and hygrometers
Frequently asked questions
How does a probe-free thermometer work?
The temperature and humidity sensors are integrated directly into the body of the device, so it measures the climate at the place where the device is positioned. There is no external cable or probe - simply place or hang the device where you want to monitor the values.
Where should such a device be placed in the tent?
Ideally at the level of the upper parts of the plants, away from the direct airflow from the fan and away from the light source. That is where the measured values correspond to the environment in which the plants are actually growing.
When should you choose a model with a probe instead?
If you need to measure the temperature at a different place than where the display is hanging - for example at the substrate or in the nutrient solution - devices from the with temperature on a probe or with temperature and humidity on a probe section are suitable.
Can the device remember the highest and lowest values?
Some models, for example the Cornwall thermo-hygrometer, have memory of minimum and maximum values since the last restart. This also lets you identify fluctuations that happened when you were not by the tent.
We will be happy to advise you on choosing a suitable thermometer and hygrometer based on where and what you need to measure - write to us.
