Gronest fabric pots let the roots of your plants breathe freely thanks to Aqua Breathe technology. The geotextile on the sides reliably prevents nutrient solution from leaking out. Water is efficiently absorbed into the substrate and excess water finds its way out through the permeable base. Gronest pots are therefore especially worthwhile if you are just starting to grow, because the thoughtful pot design for better drainage helps you avoid overwatering and plant loss.
Gronest pots serve perfectly as an ecological alternative to standard plastic pots for outdoor and indoor plant cultivation, compared with which they keep the substrate cooler, which is most noticeable when growing outdoors during sunlit days.
A Gronest fabric pot can be easily washed and reused, not just once or twice, but with careful handling for several years. Unlike plastic pots, it cannot break and withstands frost.

What is the difference between the Gronest YBP and Aqua Breathe ranges?
YBP is the basic range of Gronest fabric pots for indoor and outdoor growing. The Aqua Breathe range adds the eponymous breathable geotextile technology, which oxygenates the roots better. Both ranges are available in the full range of volumes.
What pot volume should you choose?
Follow the size of the plant and the length of the growing cycle. Smaller volumes (1 to 15 l) are suitable for seedlings, herbs and smaller plants, medium volumes (25 to 75 l) for full-sized plants, and large volumes (115 to 380 l) for beds and robust outdoor crops. We offer the full range from 1 to 380 litres.
Why do roots not turn in circles?
When a root in a fabric pot reaches the wall, contact with air naturally stops it (the air-pruning effect) and the plant forms dense lateral roots instead of circling. The result is a fuller root ball and better nutrient uptake than with a smooth plastic pot.
How do you wash Gronest pots and how long do they last?
After the growing cycle, shake the pot out, wash it by hand or on a gentle programme and let it dry - with careful handling it can be reused for several seasons. It withstands frost and, unlike plastic, does not break.
