List of products
Other vegetables brings together seeds of species that did not fit into separate categories of tomatoes, peppers or herbs - carrot, kohlrabi, radish, lettuce, salad cucumber, broccoli, peas, onion and other classics for the bed and the planter. Most of the seeds come from the Czech brand MoravoSeed, supplemented by sowing tapes EasyGarden.
How to choose seeds
- Growing period - for each variety, keep an eye on the time from sowing to harvest. VIOLA radish takes around 35 days, WINNER peas about 60 days, and parsnip 150 to 170 days.
- Sowing time - some varieties (leaf parsley, kohlrabi) can be grown and forced all year round, while others need a warm site and pre-grown seedlings.
- Hybrid or local variety - F1 hybrids (for example BERLIKA F1 carrot) tend to be uniform and productive, while classic varieties are easy to propagate and have a traditional flavour.
Tip for beginners
If you are not sure about the sowing time, choose EasyGarden sowing tapes - the seeds are spaced at the correct intervals, so you do not need to thin or prick out the plants. We offer tapes with radish as well as salad cucumber and dill.
You can complement your vegetable seeds with related categories Tomatoes, Peppers, Herbs or Microgreens.
Frequently asked questions
Which vegetables can be sown all year round?
Leaf parsley, radish or early kohlrabi, for example, can also be grown and forced all year round. You will find the recommended sowing time for each variety in its description.
What does the F1 designation mean for a variety?
F1 designates a first-generation hybrid. Such varieties tend to be uniform, resilient and productive, but you will not grow the same plant from seeds harvested from the hybrid.
What is a sowing tape used for?
The tape has seeds spaced at optimal intervals with high germination, so thinning and pricking out are not necessary. Just place it in the row and cover it.
