HERCULES
The design of these pots prevents the formation of circular roots, which occur in commercial pots where there is not enough space for the root system to develop further. Plants placed in these pots can take in enough nutrients and therefore thrive better. The plant’s overall growth is significantly better because the roots grow outwards. The pot drains better and has better air supply.

An unbeatable helper for cultivating plants indoors and outdoors!
Experienced growers know that the better the root system develops, the better the harvest...
We have included perforated HERCULES pots in our range precisely so that you can easily get the maximum amount of oxygen right to the roots of your plants. The special design, adapted for the development of a dense and unusually branched root system, will help you use the potential of your plants to the fullest! The root system can naturally expand right up to the final stages of the plant’s life cycle, while its growth out of the pot is also limited.
Excess water is the main cause of root rot and the creation of an unfavourable environment in the soil. Thanks to drainage holes all around the circumference, this problem is completely eliminated. The removal of excess water is also made easier by the unique design of the pot base.
The mythical Hercules is known for his strength and numerous adventures. Hercules pots will provide you with exceptionally strong and numerous roots and rootlets. They are also unbeatable thanks to the reinforced top section. These pots are easy to handle with an adequate amount of soil. Hercules will certainly not collapse under pressure... On the contrary, it will easily cope with the pitfalls that growers commonly face when cultivating plants in plastic containers.
The expanding root mass often causes degradation of the container and loss of elasticity in ordinary pots. With these pots, the power of nature will not catch you out unnecessarily. The strength of the roots is effectively distributed by the uneven base with protrusions on the inner side, which also makes it easier to drain excess water, because it is precisely excess water and the resulting unfavourable environment in the soil that often cause plant roots to rot. Drainage holes strategically placed all around the container simply do not allow anything like that. Their placement is also a guarantee of even radial root growth, instead of roots curling or twisting, which leads to uneven nutrient uptake and complications during repotting.
Our TIP: If it is already clear to you what makes HERCULES pots so strong, we have one more essential recommendation for you. Use coconut fibre as the growing medium, as it allows oxygen to pass through to the roots best.
What volumes does HERCULES offer?
The range covers small propagation sizes from 3 and 5 litres through medium 7.5, 9.5 and 12 litres up to large-capacity 20, 25, 35 and 70 litres. Smaller volumes are suitable for pre-growing and early stages, while larger containers are used to transplant plants to their final position. You can choose round or square versions - the square ones make better use of the space in the tent.
Which growing medium is best for ventilated pots?
The ventilated design works best with light, airy media. Coconut fibre or coconut-clay pebble mixes retain airiness and quickly drain excess water. With classic soil, keep an eye on watering - the open design dries the medium faster than a solid plastic pot.
Do I need to place a saucer under the HERCULES pot?
Yes, due to the drainage holes around the circumference and in the base, we recommend HERCULES saucers or trays, which catch the drained water. For comparison with other ventilated solutions, take a look at fabric pots and Air-Pot.
How often should I water in a ventilated pot?
The airy walls mean higher evaporation, so plants in HERCULES usually require more frequent watering in smaller doses. Monitor the container weight and the moisture of the growing medium - the roots must not dry out permanently, but they must not stand in water either.
