Detailed information

Product detailed description

The most powerful driver in the STIXX 4 series

SANlight Driver Set STIXX 4, 910W is the top model in the STIXX 4 range - a Smart Driver that powers up to five STIXX 4-100 lights from one place. It is suitable for large grow rooms and multi-level setups, where one powerful source is clearer than a handful of small drivers scattered across the area. It powers the STIXX 4 series exclusively.

The driver comes without lights and cables; it is purchased separately. You light it with STIXX 4-100 lights, which will remain dark without the driver.

Compatibility

Compatible:

Incompatible:

  • other STIXX series (2-60, 3-80, 5-120 and 6-150) - the driver is intended only for its own series
  • mixing different STIXX models on one driver - identical lights are required
  • STIXX 50 - a closed system with its own power source, different wiring
  • EVO and FLEX II lights - different connector and power supply

Why choose the largest driver straight away

The driver powers five STIXX 4-100 lights (5x 94 W = 470 W) at full power according to the official SANlight table - the maximum in the STIXX 4 range. Buying the largest power supply straight away pays off for a large setup that you do not want to build later from several drivers. Smart Driver Technology also allows you to run a smaller number of lights at full power and add the rest as the area grows.

Dimming and termination

Dimming is handled by the driver, not the lights: the magnetic M-Dimmer, SANlight Bluetooth Dimmer or a 0-10V signal connects to its blue connector and controls the whole setup at once. Then close each unused DC port with a termination plug - it is mandatory, because without it the system may be damaged.

IP rating and spacing

The IP68 rating applies to the M19 connector on the light; the driver's mains plug is not water-resistant. Do not stack drivers on top of each other; leave at least a 10 mm gap between them.

Frequently asked questions

How many STIXX 4-100 lights can the 910W driver handle?

At full rated power, it can handle five STIXX 4-100 lights (5x 94 W = 470 W) - according to the official SANlight table. That is the maximum for the STIXX 4 series. Above five lights, the driver still works, but it divides the power between all of them and the lights shine more dimly.

Can I start with one light and add more gradually?

Yes, no problem. The driver also works with a single light: Smart Driver Technology detects the number of connected STIXX 4-100 lights and distributes the power to them automatically. Up to the full number of lights, each one shines at full power; above that, the power is spread out and the lights run more dimly. You can therefore start with a small setup and grow it to the recommended number.

Why are unused driver ports capped?

Every DC port on the driver that you do not use for a light must be fitted with a termination plug (AI5010) - otherwise there is a risk of system damage. It is a small and inexpensive part, but it is not optional. The plug is not included with the driver or the light, so remember to buy it separately when building the setup.
