Frequently asked questions
What tubing diameter does my AutoPot use - 6, 9, or 16 mm?
The diameter varies depending on the system generation. Older setups have 6 mm tubing, newer ones 9 mm, and higher-flow distribution lines 16 mm. Check the diameter on your existing distribution line or AQUAvalve valve and choose accessories in the same size, otherwise the joints will not seal.
What is the PotSock copper sleeve for?
It protects the AQUAvalve valve from root intrusion, which could disrupt its function. Copper naturally repels roots, so the valve stays clean and the system reliably delivers water and nutrients.
Can I put more plants in one pot?
Yes, that is what the Pot Divider is for - a divider that lets you grow up to four plants in separate sections in one pot without having to enlarge the whole system. It is made in versions according to pot volume.
Does the AutoPot system need electricity?
No, AutoPot works by gravity - water from the elevated tank flows to the plants by gravity, and the mechanical AQUAvalve valve controls the dosing. It is therefore also suitable where you do not want to deal with a pump and power supply.
