SANlight Undercanopy STIXX 2-60 is the shortest member of the undercanopy range - a two-module light that you place low between the plants or under the crop and illuminate the lower layers, where the top light only penetrates weakly. This gives the lower buds more light and they ripen more evenly. It delivers 127 µmol/s at 47 W in full spectrum, IP68 protection handles dense and humid growth, and the undercanopy stand is included in the package.

Installation and power supply

The undercanopy version is supplied with an undercanopy stand, on which you place the light low between the plants; alternatively, it can be mounted using spacers or a mounting kit. Electrically it is the same light as the top-light, so it does not light on its own and needs a Driver Set STIXX 2 (160-530 W; 160 and 270 W can power three lights at full output, 530 W six).

How does the undercanopy version differ from the top-light model?

It is physically the same LED light with the same power and flux - 47 W and 127 µmol/s. The difference is in use and in the fact that the undercanopy version includes a stand in the package: it is mounted low and shines into the lower layers of the plants, while the top-light hangs above the plants as the main lighting. The undercanopy light is added to the top light, not a replacement for it.

How much undercanopy light should be added to top lighting?

Undercanopy is supplementary lighting, not a replacement for the main light. It is chosen according to the density of the crop and how deeply the top light penetrates - for denser plants it makes sense to add more lower lights. You can fine-tune the intensity with dimming on the driver. For continuous coverage of the area, SANlight also offers ready-made undercanopy sets.

Which driver does the undercanopy 2-60 need?

Driver Set STIXX 2 (160, 270 or 530 W). According to SANlight's official table, 160 and 270 W can power three lights at full output, 530 W six. The driver, cables and termination plug are purchased separately; the undercanopy stand, on the other hand, is included with the module.
