Detailed information

Product detailed description

Driver STIXX 3/6 for three 3-80 luminaires

SANlight Driver Set STIXX 3/6, 240W is a Smart Driver for the STIXX 3-80 and STIXX 6-150 ranges. Compared with the 200W entry-level version, it adds one extra head for the 3-80 range: it powers three STIXX 3-80 luminaires at full output. With STIXX 6-150, it powers one luminaire.

The driver arrives separately, without luminaires or cables. To operate it, add STIXX 3-80 luminaires (or STIXX 6-150); a luminaire without a driver does not light up.

Parameters

  • Type: power driver (Smart Driver) for the STIXX range
  • Maximum output power: 240 W
  • Designed for: STIXX 3-80 or STIXX 6-150 luminaires (always only one range)
  • At full output (official SANlight table): three 3-80 luminaires (210 W) / one 6-150 (141 W)
  • Rated input power of one luminaire: 70 (3-80) or 141 (6-150) W
  • Max. output current: 4.2 A
  • Typical output voltage: 57 V DC
  • Dimensions (L x W x H): 281 x 90 x 41.5 mm
  • Weight: 1.9 kg
  • Input voltage: 120-240/277 V AC, 50/60 Hz
  • Dimming: blue connector on the driver (M-Dimmer, Bluetooth Dimmer or 0-10V)
  • Unused DC ports: termination plug (required)
  • Water resistance: M19 connector on the luminaire IP68; the driver's mains plug is not water resistant

Compatibility

Compatible:

Incompatible:

  • mixing STIXX 3-80 and STIXX 6-150 on one driver - identical luminaires are required
  • other STIXX ranges (2-60, 4-100 and 5-120) - the driver is intended only for the 3/6 range
  • STIXX 50 - a closed system with its own power supply, different wiring
  • EVO and FLEX II luminaires - different connector and power supply

When the 240W version is suitable

This version makes sense when you are building a setup from three STIXX 3-80 luminaires - exactly that many are powered at full output according to the official SANlight table. For one 6-150 luminaire, the 240W driver is also fine, although you will not use its full capacity. If you need four 3-80 luminaires, go for the 610W driver; for two 6-150 luminaires, choose the 320W version.

Termination plug and dimming

Unused DC ports on the driver must be fitted with a termination plug - without it, the system may be damaged, so treat it as a mandatory part of every setup. Dimming is done directly on the driver: connect the magnetic M-Dimmer or SANlight Bluetooth Dimmer to its blue connector, or use a 0-10V control signal. All luminaires are then dimmed together.

Water resistance and installation

Only the M19 connector on the luminaire is water resistant (IP68); keep the driver's mains plug dry. When using more drivers, maintain a minimum spacing of 10 mm between them and do not stack them on top of each other.

Frequently asked questions

How many luminaires does the 240W driver power?

At full rated output, it powers three STIXX 3-80 luminaires (3x 70 W = 210 W), or one STIXX 6-150 luminaire (141 W) - these numbers are given in the official SANlight table. The ranges are not combined; you choose one. More luminaires can be connected at the expense of full output.

Can I use both 3-80 and 6-150 on this 3/6 driver at the same time?

Not at the same time. The 3/6 designation means that the driver can power either the STIXX 3-80 range or the STIXX 6-150 range - you choose one and stick with it. If you mix both ranges, you need a separate driver for each. How many luminaires it can power differs between 3-80 and 6-150 according to their input power.

What is the termination plug for and do I need it?

Yes, it is required. The driver has more DC ports than the number of luminaires you normally connect, and every unused port must be closed with a termination plug (AI5010). Without it, the system may be damaged. It is an inexpensive but essential part - the manufacturer does not supply the plug together with the luminaires or the driver, it is purchased separately.
