Powerful extraction on a slim flange - 125 mm carbon filter Urban Premium can also handle a powerful fan with a flow rate of 370 to 550 m3/h. The most powerful of the three variants on the 125 mm flange has the longest body (40 cm), so it holds more carbon and lasts longer.

How the 125 mm carbon filter works

Odour is captured by a layer of activated carbon through which the air passes during extraction. It uses Australian granular carbon RC412 with a value of 1050 IAV, evenly distributed around the entire circumference of the filter in a bed up to 4 cm thick - the more carbon and the longer the contact with the air, the cleaner the air at the outlet. The carbon layer is covered by a fine fabric, so the filter does not create dust and operation remains clean. The conical aerodynamic base distributes the airflow evenly through the entire layer, which increases filtration efficiency and overall service life. The aluminium front and base keep the weight low (4.2 kg) and protect the filter from mechanical damage.

For which extraction and space

This variant will be appreciated by anyone who wants high performance while staying on a 125 mm flange - for example because of existing fan and ducting. The longer body means more activated carbon, and therefore higher capacity and longer service life. The filter, extract fan and ducting must all have the same 125 mm flange; carbon creates resistance and reduces the actual flow rate of the assembly, so choose the fan with a reserve. It is suitable for extraction with an optimal flow rate of around 370 m3/h (max. 550 m3/h). You can connect it with ventilation ducting 125 mm. The entire Urban Premium range:

Service life and maintenance

The carbon usually lasts 10 to 15 months, but the exact period depends on the actual flow rate and humidity - the higher the flow rate and the more humid the air, the faster the carbon wears out. Above roughly 70% relative humidity, the carbon suffers, so operate the filter in reasonable humidity. You can extend the service life with the washable external pre-filter included in the package - it captures dust and dirt, so the carbon does not clog up. Simply wash the pre-filter as needed and put it back.

What fan do I need for the filter?
