Low Urban Premium carbon odour filter with a 125 mm flange - with a body only 15 cm high, it fits even in low tents. Australian RC412 carbon (1050 IAV) captures odour at an optimal airflow of 160 m3/h (max. 240 m3/h).

Detailed information

Product detailed description

For a low tent or a tight cabinet - 125 mm carbon filter Urban Premium with an optimal airflow of 160 m3/h (max. 240 m3/h) removes odour from the extract where there is little space in height. With a body only 15 cm high, it is the lowest filter in the whole range, designed for weaker fans with a 125 mm flange.

How the 125 mm carbon filter works

Odour is captured by a layer of activated carbon through which the air passes during extraction. Used is Australian granular carbon RC412 with a value of 1050 IAV, evenly distributed around the entire circumference of the filter in a bed up to 4 cm thick - the more carbon and the longer the contact with the air, the cleaner the air at the outlet. The carbon layer is covered by a fine fabric, so the filter does not create dust and operation remains clean. The conical aerodynamic base distributes the airflow evenly through the entire layer, which increases filtration efficiency and overall service life. The aluminium front and base keep the weight low (1.7 kg) and protect the filter from mechanical damage.

For which extract and space

The low profile is the main advantage of this variant - it is suitable wherever there is not enough space above the tent for the full height of the filter. The filter, extract fan and ducting must share the same 125 mm flange diameter. Carbon creates resistance to the air and reduces the real airflow of the system, so choose the fan with a reserve. This variant is suitable for extraction with an optimal airflow of around 160 m3/h (max. 240 m3/h), i.e. for smaller tents. For connection, use 125 mm ventilation ducting. The Urban Premium range offers two more powerful variants on the 125 mm flange, as well as smaller and larger diameters:

Service life and maintenance

The carbon usually lasts 10 to 15 months, but the exact time depends on the actual airflow and humidity - the higher the airflow and the more humid the air, the faster the carbon wears out. Above roughly 70% relative humidity, the carbon suffers, so operate the filter in reasonable humidity. You can extend the service life with the washable external pre-filter included in the package - it captures dust and dirt, so the carbon does not clog. Simply wash the pre-filter as needed and put it back.

Frequently asked questions

Which of the three 125 mm filters should I choose?

The airflow of your fan is decisive. This variant handles optimally 160 m3/h (max. 240 m3/h) and is the lowest, so it is suitable for smaller and lower tents. For a medium tent, choose the variant up to 360 m3/h; for strong extraction, choose the variant up to 550 m3/h. All three have a 125 mm flange.

Will the filter fit even in a low tent?

Yes, that is exactly why this variant is popular. The body is only 15 cm high, which is the least of the whole range, so you can hang the filter even where there is not much space above the tent. The filter diameter is 20 cm and the weight is only 1.7 kg, so even the hanging straps of a smaller tent can support it.

What fan do I need for it?

An extract fan with a 125 mm flange, because the filter itself does not move air and does not work without a fan. Choose a model with an optimal airflow of around 160 to 240 m3/h and with a little extra reserve, because the carbon reduces the real airflow of the system. Suitable models can be found among fans.

How long does it last?

Usually 10 to 15 months, but the time depends on operation. Service life decreases with higher airflow and especially with higher humidity - above roughly 70% relative humidity, the carbon suffers. The washable pre-filter in the package captures dust, protects the carbon and extends its service life.
