Prima Klima PK125-TC - quiet and efficient extract fan, 125 mm diameter and 400 m3/h

Prima Klima PK125-TC is a radial (centrifugal) fan designed for extraction with a carbon filter: it draws in air and easily overcomes the resistance of the filter and ducting. The ball-bearing motor with backward-curved blades runs quietly and with low power consumption; the body made of non-flammable polyamide (nylon) is impact- and heat-resistant. The connection, capacitor and control system are hidden directly in the housing.

Built-in temperature-based control

The fan has a built-in thermostat: set the target temperature and minimum speed, and the fan will then automatically increase output when the temperature in the space or ducting rises above the limit, and slow down again as soon as the climate drops back. The built-in thermal protection protects the motor against overheating. The control is part of the housing - you do not need any external controller.

Why it pays off

Automatic control saves both work and energy: the fan runs at full power only when needed, otherwise it maintains lower, quieter speeds. The radial impeller moves more air than standard axial fans at lower noise levels, so the setup remains discreet and the climate stable. German manufacture and a Swiss motor are a guarantee of long service life.

Which tent it suits and how to size it

With a maximum airflow of 400 m3/h, the fan is suitable for a smaller tent up to approximately 80x80 cm. The fan diameter, filter flange and ducting should all be the same (125 mm) - otherwise unnecessary resistance, power loss and noise will occur. A carbon filter and bends reduce the actual airflow, so choose the fan with a reserve above the needs of the space.

Frequently asked questions

What size tent is the fan suitable for?

The maximum airflow of 400 m3/h with a 125 mm diameter covers a smaller tent up to approximately 80x80 cm. Allow for a reserve: a carbon filter and duct bends reduce the actual airflow of the setup, so choose the fan with more than enough capacity for the tent rather than exactly at the limit.

What is the difference between the -TC and -THC versions?

The -TC suffix means built-in temperature-based control: the fan automatically increases speed when the temperature rises above the set limit. The -THC version controls both temperature and air humidity at the same time, so it keeps the climate within the target range (close to the VPD principle). For cultivation, humidity is just as important as temperature, which is why -THC is the more advanced option.

Do I need an external controller for the fan?

No. The control is built directly into the fan body, controls the speed itself and works without any additional device. Only owners of ECblue models, which do not have built-in control, buy an external controller separately.
