Product detailed description
Prima Klima K2602 - clean extract without odour (100 mm flange)
The wider body with a diameter of 230 mm holds over two and a half kilos of carbon in the Eco Line K2602, even with a narrow 100 mm flange. The Prima Klima K2602 carbon odour filter from the Eco Line range captures odour molecules in a 3 cm deep bed of highly active carbon, so only clean air without odour leaves the extract. The 100 mm flange connects to ducting and a fan of the same diameter - keep the filter, ducting and fan at the same 100 mm diameter. It can handle a tent of approximately 100x100 to 120x120 cm at a flow rate of up to 620 m3/h (optimally around 475 m3/h).
How the carbon filter works
Activated carbon works like a battery: air passes through the carbon bed and organic odour molecules are captured in its microporous structure. Quality is determined by the CTC value and iodine number (how many substances the carbon absorbs), together with the thickness of the bed - the longer the air is in contact with the carbon, the better the odour is broken down. Prima Klima fills the Eco Line with anthracite CTC75 pellets (3 mm), which have low pressure resistance and also cope well with higher humidity. Once exhausted, the carbon can be topped up or replaced; the filter itself is not thrown away.
Technical parameters
- Flange diameter: 100 mm
- Maximum flow rate: 620 m3/h
- Optimal flow rate: 475 m3/h
- Filter diameter: 230 mm
- Length without flange: 400 mm
- Activated carbon: 2.6 kg (CTC75, 3 cm bed layer)
- Weight: 4.5 kg
- Dust pre-filter included in the package (K2702)
- Carbon lifespan: depends on load and flow rate (higher flow rate = shorter lifespan), approximately months to over a year in normal operation
- Horizontal and vertical installation; operating temperature 10 to 70 °C
Which fan and tent it suits
Choose a 100 mm fan with an output of up to 620 m3/h - for example the Prima Klima 100 mm fan. The filter is suitable for a tent of approximately 100x100 to 120x120 cm. You can easily calculate the required flow rate: multiply the room volume (length x width x height in metres) by 60 and compare the result with the filter's maximum output. It is compatible with any 100 mm fan with a suitable output; in the Eco Line range it is followed by the smaller K2601 480 m3/h 125 mm variant.
Frequently asked questions
Which filter suits my fan and tent?
Diameter and flow rate matter: the filter flange must match the diameter of the fan and ducting, here 100 mm. This model can handle a tent of approximately 100x100 to 120x120 cm and a flow rate of up to 620 m3/h. A larger filter means more carbon and a longer lifespan, while a smaller one saves space.
How long does the carbon last?
Lifespan depends on load and flow rate - a higher flow rate means a shorter lifespan (roughly double the flow rate = half the lifespan), approximately months to over a year in normal operation. Therefore, run the filter only when odour is noticeable, and rather reduce the flow rate; the carbon will then last significantly longer.
Can the carbon be replaced?
Yes, the filter is refillable - once the carbon is exhausted, simply top up or replace the filling and the filter body can continue to be used. Vacuum the pre-filter occasionally to extend the carbon's lifespan. You can find other sizes among the carbon filters.
