Prima Klima K2601 is an Eco Line carbon odour filter with a 100 mm flange and a 3 cm CTC75 activated carbon bed. Reliably removes odours from extraction at up to 480 m3/h, suitable for approximately 80 x 80 to 100 x 100 cm tents.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

Prima Klima K2601 - clean odour-free extraction (100 mm flange)

The longer body and almost two kilograms of carbon make the Eco Line K2601 with a 100 mm flange a powerhouse for fully equipped tents. The Prima Klima K2601 carbon odour filter captures odour molecules in a 3 cm-deep bed of highly activated carbon, so only clean, odour-free air leaves the extraction system. The 100 mm flange connects to ducting and a fan of the same diameter - keep the filter, ducting and fan at one diameter of 100 mm. It is suitable for approximately 80 x 80 to 100 x 100 cm tents at an airflow of up to 480 m3/h (optimally around 360 m3/h).

How the carbon filter works

Activated carbon works like a battery: air passes through the carbon bed and organic odour molecules are captured in its microporous structure. Quality is determined by the CTC value and iodine number (how much material the carbon absorbs), together with the bed thickness - the longer the air remains in contact with the carbon, the more effectively odours are removed. Prima Klima fills the Eco Line with anthracite CTC75 pellets (3 mm), which have low pressure resistance and also cope well with higher humidity. Once exhausted, the carbon can be topped up or replaced; the whole filter does not need to be discarded.

Technical specifications

  • Flange diameter: 100 mm
  • Maximum airflow: 480 m3/h
  • Optimal airflow: 360 m3/h
  • Filter diameter: 180 mm
  • Length without flange: 400 mm
  • Activated carbon: 1.8 kg (CTC75, 3 cm bed depth)
  • Weight: 3.2 kg
  • Dust pre-filter included
  • Carbon lifespan: depends on the load and airflow (higher airflow = shorter lifespan), approximately several months to over a year under normal operation
  • Horizontal and vertical installation; operating temperature 10 to 70 °C

Which fan and tent is it suitable for?

Choose a 100 mm fan with an output of up to 480 m3/h - for example, a Prima Klima 100 mm fan. The filter is suitable for approximately 80 x 80 to 100 x 100 cm tents. You can easily calculate the required airflow: multiply the room volume (length x width x height in metres) by 60 and compare the result with the filter's maximum output. It is compatible with any 100 mm fan with a corresponding output; in the Eco Line range, it is followed by the smaller K2600 360 m3/h and the larger K2602 620 m3/h.

Frequently asked questions

Which filter is suitable for my fan and tent?

Diameter and airflow are decisive: the filter flange must match the diameter of the fan and ducting, in this case 100 mm. This model is suitable for approximately 80 x 80 to 100 x 100 cm tents and airflow of up to 480 m3/h. A larger filter means more carbon and a longer lifespan, while a smaller one saves space.

How long does the carbon last?

The lifespan depends on the load and airflow - higher airflow means a shorter lifespan (approximately double the airflow = half the lifespan), approximately several months to over a year under normal operation. Therefore, only run the filter when odour can be detected and keep the airflow somewhat lower; the carbon will then last significantly longer.

Can the carbon be replaced?

Yes, the filter is refillable - once the carbon is exhausted, simply top up or replace the filling and the filter body can continue to be used. Vacuum the pre-filter occasionally to extend the carbon's lifespan. You can find other sizes among the carbon filters.
