    70W Discharge Lamps

    70W discharge lamps are suitable for lighting a small area, such as a small tent, propagator, greenhouse or cloche. They are also suitable for supplementary lighting in dark corners of larger tents that the main light does not reach. However, they are perfect for really small areas around 35x35 cm (for example in the Homebox Ambient Q30 tent) and effectively light plants from a distance of 25 cm, which makes them excellent lighting especially for seedlings and cuttings.

    70W discharge lamps are suitable for lighting a small area, such as a small tent, propagator, greenhouse or cloche.

    They are also suitable for supplementary lighting in dark corners of larger tents that the main light does not reach. Some growers even use several lower-powered lights to create more even lighting in the tent. 

    However, they are perfect for really small areas around 35x35 cm (for example in the Homebox Ambient Q30 tent) and effectively light plants from a distance of 25 cm, which makes them excellent lighting especially for seedlings and cuttings.

     Like all discharge lamps, they need a ballast and a shade.

    If you are planning a larger project, you can take inspiration from our equipped propagation sets. An alternative to 70W discharge lamps for young plants is fluorescent tubes or small TLED lights.
