Metrop - Dosage
How should you dose highly concentrated Metrop fertilisers? Here is a proven procedure!
- The dosing of Metrop fertilisers depends to a certain extent on the method and the substrate in which you grow the plants.
- Metrop fertilisers should be dosed according to the table or detailed schedule, always with regard to the developmental stage in which the plant is located.
- The dosing of Metrop fertilisers is easy, as these are small amounts of highly concentrated products that only need to be combined correctly.
- For the first two weeks, the recommended lighting period is 18 hours per day, then it is reduced to 12 hours.
- Do not forget that in the last week of the growing cycle it is important to carry out the so-called flush, or flushing. At this stage, do not add any of the standard fertilisers to the water. This will achieve exceptionally healthy fruits with excellent taste, as no residues of salts or other undesirable substances will remain in the crop.
- Dosing fertiliser according to the table and the manufacturer’s instructions minimises the risk of over-fertilisation. Nevertheless, we recommend continuously checking how the plants are doing during the growing cycle, as each of them has its own individual needs.
- We have discussed the effects of products from the Metrop brand in detail in a separate blog article. Read here.
- Our TIP: For better watering and improved nutrient management, it is worth using filters and reverse osmosis units Growmax.
When to add and when to reduce?
- You can reduce the intensity of fertilisation for a while if you notice typical symptoms associated with an excess of nutrients. These are most often indicated by yellowing leaves, spots on their edges, or a white surface on the substrate.
- If you notice that the plant, on the contrary, has a lack of nutrients, it is advisable to start fertilising a little more. If the plant grows unnaturally slowly and its leaves are smaller than is usual for the given species, it is probably undernourished. In such a case, you can try increasing the intensity of fertilisation and observe whether this has a positive effect on the plant and it begins to thrive better.
GROWTH
- Apply the exceptionally clean fertiliser for growth and the initial flowering phase MR1, in the amount of 40 ml per 100 litres of water.
- Also add the first-class root stimulator Root+ in the amount of 80 ml/100 l to the watering solution. This is a unique booster containing high-quality amino acids. The rich root system of your plants will then lay the foundations for a magnificent harvest of high value!
- For higher yields, do not forget the unique supplements based on rare amino acids, vitamins and other valuable substances: AminoXtrem (90 ml/100 l) and Calgreen (20 ml/100 l).
FLOWERING
- Week 1 and 2: Apply MR1 (50 ml/100 l) in combination with the supplements from the growth phase, which should still be dosed in the same way.
- Week 3: Increase the dose of MR1 to 75 ml/100 l and no longer use the Root+ root stimulator; dose AminoXtrem in the same way as the previous week. Increase the dosing of Calgreen to 30 ml.
- Week 4: Replace MR1 with MR2 - a universal biological fertiliser for flowering. The dosing remains at 75 ml/100 l. Continue to dose AminoXtrem and Calgreen in the same way as the previous week.
- Week 5 and 6: Increase the dosing of MR2 to 100 ml/100 l. Continue to dose AminoXtrem and Calgreen in the same way as the previous week.
- Week 7 to 9: The dosing of Calgreen increases to 90 ml/100 l. The dosing of MR2 and AminoXtrem remains unchanged.
- Week 10: Use only AminoXtrem in the same amount (90 ml/100 ml).
