Metrop MR2 is a concentrated bloom fertiliser (NPK 10-20-40) for the full flowering stage. It follows on from the growth MR1 and is for growers who want to get the maximum volume, weight and flavour from their plants.

What MR2 does in bloom

A higher dose of potassium drives the plant into flower formation and ripening - the 2:1 ratio of potassium to phosphorus specifically supports swelling and flavour of the flowers, not further leaf growth. The nutrients are fully soluble, with trace elements chelated with EDTA, so at the same EC you provide the plant with more nutrition and the solution does not clog the tank or irrigation system.

Dosing and use

Use MR2 from the 3rd-4th week of flowering, once stretching has finished. For hydroponics and substrates, dose max. 100 ml per 100 l of water; we recommend 75 ml/100 l in the 4th week and 100 ml/100 l from the 5th week onwards. In rich soil, water 1-3 times a week, in hydroponics daily, and monitor EC. One litre is enough for roughly 1000 litres of nutrient solution.

What to combine MR2 with

In bloom, supplement it with the bloom amino stimulant Metrop AminoXtrem Bloom and the calcium Metrop Calgreen. Growth Metrop MR1 and MR2 are not mixed at the same time - they are two stages of one programme, which at the start opens the root Metrop Root+. Add Calgreen to the tank always last, into slightly acidified water (pH of the mix no higher than 6.5).

Parameters

NPK 10-20-40 (+ trace elements). Nitrogen (N) 10 %, phosphorus (P2O5) 20 %, potassium (K2O) 40 %, magnesium (MgO) 1.5 %. Trace elements iron, manganese, copper, zinc and cobalt chelated with EDTA (iron 0.175 %, manganese 0.088 %, copper 0.088 %, zinc 0.088 %, cobalt 0.0011 %); also boron 0.035 % and molybdenum 0.0012 %. pH of a 10% solution 4.5-5.0, density 1.50 kg/l. Pack sizes 250 ml, 1 l, 5 l. Shake before use, store in the dark and protect from frost.

What is the difference between MR1 and MR2?

MR1 is a growth fertiliser (NPK 10-40-20) for vegetation, MR2 is a bloom fertiliser (NPK 10-20-40) with double the potassium for the flowering stage. In the programme they follow one after the other: first MR1, then MR2 from the 3rd-4th week of flowering. They are not combined at the same time.

How much MR2 should I dose without overfertilising?

For hydroponics and substrates, the limit is 100 ml per 100 l of water. Start at 75 ml/100 l and gradually increase to 100 ml/100 l. Increase the doses slowly and keep an eye on EC - the concentrate is thick, so always measure it with a measuring cup.

Do I need a PK booster with MR2?

MR2 already contains high levels of potassium and phosphorus for flowering, so it is enough for most growing. If you want to further boost the peak of flowering, reach for a separate PK supplement, but do not duplicate the same role and monitor EC.
