METROP Calgreen

Product detailed description
Metrop Calgreen is a concentrated calcium nitrate with 22.5 % calcium and three forms of nitrogen. It supplements calcium and nitrogen to the basic MR1 and MR2 fertilisers throughout the entire cycle and is suitable for pots, outdoors and hydroponics.
What calcium in Calgreen is for
Calcium is the building block of cell walls - with enough of it, the plant builds strong tissues, denser flowers and copes better with stress. It contains three forms of nitrogen (nitrate, ammoniacal and urea) and the pure composition without ballast dyes keeps EC low.
Dosing and mixing order (important)
Add Calgreen to the tank always as the last ingredient, into slightly acidified water, and never let the pH of the mixed solution rise above 6.5. When calcium and phosphorus meet at a higher pH, they precipitate and clog the tank and irrigation system. Dose 20-40 ml per 100 l of water depending on the stage; in rich soil 1-3 times a week, in hydroponics daily, and monitor EC. From one litre you can mix roughly 2500 to 5000 litres of watering solution.
What to combine Calgreen with
Calgreen is a companion to both bases - the growth Metrop MR1 and the flowering Metrop MR2 - and is compatible with all products in the range. That is precisely why it belongs in the tank as the very last ingredient.

Frequently asked questions
Why is Calgreen added last?
So that the calcium does not precipitate in the tank with phosphorus from the other fertilisers. Pour Calgreen into the already mixed and slightly acidified watering solution as the last component and keep the mix pH up to 6.5. Otherwise a precipitate will form, which will clog hoses and drippers and the nutrients will be rendered ineffective.
When do I need Calgreen?
It is worthwhile practically throughout the entire cycle, especially with soft or RO water and in coco, where calcium is often low. It supplies calcium and nitrogen to MR1 and MR2 and helps prevent signs of calcium deficiency on young leaves and flowers.
Can I mix Calgreen with all Metrop fertilisers?
Yes, Calgreen is compatible with the entire Metrop range. The key is the order: other fertilisers into the water first, Calgreen last into a slightly acidic solution. However, do not combine two calcium salts at the same time and monitor EC.
Exact dosing for individual stages can be found in the Metrop dosing table.
