Metrop MR1 is a concentrated growth fertiliser (NPK 10-40-20) for the vegetative phase and the first weeks of pre-flowering. It is intended for growers in soil, coco and hydroponics who want clean, fully soluble nutrition without deposits in the tank and drip irrigation.

Why Metrop MR1 works

Plants get a solid building foundation from the start - the unusually high proportion of phosphorus (40 %) and potassium (20 %) already in the growth phase deliberately builds roots and strong tissues, not just green mass. The nutrients are in a clean, highly concentrated form with trace elements chelated with EDTA, so the plant absorbs them quickly and receives more nutrition at the same EC value. The solution remains stable and does not clog drip irrigation.

Dosing and use

Apply it right at the start of vegetative growth and in the first 2-3 weeks of pre-flowering, then Metrop MR2 takes over the role. For hydroponics and substrates, dose max. 100 ml per 100 l of water; we recommend 50 ml/100 l in week 1-2 and 75 ml/100 l in week 3. Due to its thick consistency, use a measuring cup and check the EC. One litre is enough for approximately 2000 litres of ready-to-use nutrient solution, so the concentrate lasts a very long time.

What to combine MR1 with

The full programme includes the root stimulator Metrop Root+ at the start and the calcium Metrop Calgreen as a companion throughout the cycle. However, always add Calgreen to the tank last, into slightly acidified water (the pH of the mix must never be above 6.5), otherwise the calcium will precipitate with the phosphorus.

Trace elements iron, manganese, copper, zinc and cobalt chelated with EDTA (iron 0.17 %, manganese 1.5 %, copper 0.085 %, zinc 0.085 %, cobalt 0.0012 %); also boron 0.035 % and molybdenum 0.0012 %. pH of 10% solution 4.5-5.0, density 1.50 kg/l. Packaging 250 ml, 1 l, 5 l. Shake before use, store in the dark and protect from frost.

Frequently asked questions

When should I switch from MR1 to MR2?

Use MR1 throughout the vegetative phase and the first 2-3 weeks after switching to flowering. From the 3rd-4th week of flowering, it is replaced by Metrop MR2 with higher potassium. A short overlap is fine, but do not combine two growth bases at once and monitor the EC.

Can I use MR1 in hydroponics and in soil?

Yes. MR1 is fully soluble and works in soil, coco and hydroponics. In rich soil, water with the solution 1-3 times a week, in hydroponics daily. Always monitor the EC value so you do not over-fertilise the plant.

Why does MR1 not clog drip irrigation?

The basic substances are in a clean form without ballast and dyes, so no deposits form in the tank or in the hoses and the EC value remains stable after dissolving. Nevertheless, mix only as much solution as you will use.
