Advanced Nutrients Big Bud Liquid

Product detailed description
Big Bud Liquid is a flower booster (bud potentiator) from Advanced Nutrients for growers who want to get the most out of the flowering stage. It is applied during the period when plants are setting and building flowers, and supplies them with potassium and phosphorus in exactly the ratio they need at that moment.
Why bigger and denser flowers
Plants in flower are hungrier for potassium than for phosphorus, and Big Bud targets exactly that: it contains potassium and phosphorus in a K:P ratio of 3:1 (NPK 0-1-3). This supports the formation of larger, denser and heavier flowers without overloading the plant with phosphorus.
When and how much to dose
Use Big Bud from week 2 to week 5 of flowering at a dose of 2 ml per litre. In the final weeks of flowering, it is replaced by the late-stage booster Overdrive, which triggers a second wave of flowering. The very beginning of flowering (weeks 1 to 2) is covered by Bud Ignitor, so the two products complement each other in timing.
When and with what to use
Big Bud is a booster, not a complete nutrient, so it needs a flowering base underneath it, for example pH Perfect Sensi Bloom A+B. For growers in coco, we recommend the Big Bud Coco version; those who prefer powder form can choose Big Bud Powder.

Frequently asked questions
Will Big Bud replace flowering fertiliser?
No. Big Bud is a booster that is added to the base flowering nutrition, not a replacement for it. It does not provide the full spectrum of nutrients on its own, only balances potassium and phosphorus during flower building. Combine it with a flowering base, such as pH Perfect Sensi Bloom A+B, and dose both products according to the brand's feeding programme.
Can I combine Big Bud with Overdrive?
Yes, but not at the same time at the same intensity. They are not competitors; they differ in timing. Big Bud covers the early to mid flowering stage (weeks 2 to 5), while Overdrive is applied in the last two to three weeks to trigger a second wave of flowering. The transition between them is handled by the dosing chart.
Does Big Bud work in coco too?
It does, but for coco substrate there is a separate optimised version, Big Bud Coco, with an adjusted formula. The classic Big Bud Liquid is used in soil, hydroponics and aeroponics. If you grow in coco and want nutrition tailored to this medium, go straight for the Coco version.
Exact dosing for individual ranges can be found in the Advanced Nutrients dosing chart.
