Product detailed description

Sensizym is an enzymatic additive from Advanced Nutrients for growers who want to keep the root zone clean and active. Using active enzymes, it breaks down dead roots and nutrient residues into forms the plant can use again.

How the enzymes work

Sensizym contains active enzymes: xylanase, cellulase (in several forms) and beta-glucanase. These break down organic waste and unused nutrients in the root zone and turn them back into available nutrition, while also feeding beneficial microbes. The root environment therefore stays clean and the plant manages better with what it receives.

When and how much to dose

You dose Sensizym consistently at 2 ml per litre throughout the growing cycle, during both vegetative growth (weeks 1 to 4) and flowering (weeks 1 to 7). You only leave it out in the final flush week. It is compatible with all Advanced Nutrients base fertilisers as well as competitors' products and is suitable for hydroponic systems.

When and with what to use

Sensizym works in the background alongside base nutrition, for example pH Perfect Sensi Grow A+B in vegetative growth and pH Perfect Sensi Bloom A+B in flowering. For growers who want an organically certified additive, there is a separate Sensizym Organic OIM version (not interchangeable with standard Sensizym).

Frequently asked questions

How many enzymes does Sensizym contain?
Sensizym is based on active enzymes, which the manufacturer names as xylanase, cellulase in several forms and beta-glucanase. Together, these break down dead root waste and unused nutrients back into available nutrition. The manufacturer does not state the exact total number of enzymatic components in the official materials; the key point is their enzymatic activity in the root zone.

When should Sensizym not be used?
Leave Sensizym out in the final flush week, when you are instead removing residual substances from the plant. For the rest of the cycle, dose it consistently at 2 ml per litre, during vegetative growth and for most of flowering. Enzymes need organic material to break down, so they make sense in the active growth phase, not during flushing.

Exact dosing for individual ranges can be found in the Advanced Nutrients dosing table.
