P700 is the largest model in the Aqua Master Tools range - a combined metre with a rechargeable battery that is more likely to stay by the tank than to be carried in a pocket. The conductivity electrode is sold separately, so when it wears out you replace only that part, not the whole set.

Compatibility and connector

The electrode is designed for Aqua Master Tools P700 PRO2 and connects with a Large PIN connector. The pH side of the metre has its own probe with a BNC connector, so both are ordered separately.

Calibration after replacement

P700 PRO2 handles single-point conductivity calibration with 1.4, 3.0 or 12.88 EC solutions. For standard values in the growing solution, use EC 1.413 solution.

Care for the conductivity part

The conductivity electrode is not stored in KCl solution; that belongs to the reference cell of the pH probes. After each measurement, rinse it with clean water, especially after inserting it into the substrate, and let it dry.

Warranty

Aqua Master Tools provides a 6-month warranty on the electrode from the date of purchase; claims can be made within this period.

Frequently asked questions

Does this electrode also replace the pH probe of the P700 metre?

No. This is purely a conductivity electrode with a Large PIN connector, which handles EC, CF and PPM values. For pH, the P700 PRO2 has a separate probe with a BNC connector and it is ordered as a different product. If your pH is drifting, you need the other part.

What needs to be done after replacing the EC electrode?

Connect it with the Large PIN connector and recalibrate the conductivity part. The P700 PRO2 handles single-point calibration with 1.4, 3.0 or 12.88 EC solutions; for a standard growing solution, EC 1.413 is suitable. The pH side of the metre has its own probe with a BNC connector and is calibrated separately with pH 4.0 and 7.0 solutions.
