E50 is a pocket pen that travels between the watering can, reservoir and runoff from the pot. The replacement AMT1006 conductivity electrode is its measuring part – you can replace it separately while the metre body continues to serve you.

Compatibility

The electrode is designed for E50 PRO and E50 PRO 2.0. It is not suitable for other metres – each pen has its own conductivity electrode with its own designation.

Calibration after replacement

The new electrode requires new calibration. A one-point calibration is sufficient, for which Aqua Master Tools EC 1,413 is suitable.

Measurement in the watering can and reservoir

The pen can be used wherever you need to know the strength of the solution: in a watering can, in a reservoir and in runoff from the substrate. The electrode therefore encounters all possible fertiliser concentrations; rinse it with clean water after each measurement. Keep the KCl solution for pH probes; it would not help here – the conductivity sensor only needs a clean and dry surface.

Warranty

The electrode is covered by a 6-month warranty from the date of purchase, which is also the period for making a claim.

Frequently asked questions

Is rinsing the conductivity electrode with tap water sufficient?

Yes, for normal operation. It is important to rinse it immediately after measurement, while the solution on the measuring part is still wet, and allow the electrode to dry. If a solid salt coating has already settled on it, a cleaning solution designed for electrodes will help. Storage solution for pH probes does not belong here.

Does an electrode from E50 fit the E60 metre?

No. E60 PRO and E60 PRO2 have their own AMT1009 part, whereas this one bears the AMT1006 designation. The models differ in what they can display – E60 also calculates PPM and TDS. Therefore, choose according to the designation on your metre.
