The E50 is a pocket pen that moves between the watering can, the tank and the drain from the pot. The replacement conductivity electrode AMT1006 is its measuring part - you replace it separately and the metre body continues to serve.

Compatibility

The electrode is designed for E50 PRO and E50 PRO 2.0. It does not fit other metres - each pen has its own conductivity electrode with its own designation.

Calibration after replacement

The new electrode requires a new adjustment. A single-point calibration is sufficient, for which Aqua Master Tools EC 1,413 is suitable.

Measuring in the watering can and in the tank

The pen is used wherever you need to know the strength of the solution: in the watering can, in the reservoir tank and in the drain from the substrate. The electrode therefore comes into contact with all possible fertiliser concentrations; after each measurement, rinse it with clean water. Keep KCl solution for pH probes, it would not help here - the conductivity sensor wants only a clean and dry surface.

Warranty

The electrode is covered by a 6-month warranty from purchase, which is also the period for a complaint.

Frequently asked questions

Is rinsing with tap water enough for the conductivity electrode?

For normal operation, yes. It is important to rinse it immediately after measurement, while the solution on the measuring part is still wet, and let the electrode dry. If a solid salt deposit has already formed on it, a cleaning solution designed for electrodes will help. Storage solution for pH probes does not belong here.

Does the electrode from the E50 fit the E60 metre?

No. The E60 PRO and E60 PRO2 have their own AMT1009 part, while this one carries the AMT1006 designation. The models differ in what they can display - the E60 also calculates PPM and TDS. So choose according to the designation on your metre.
