History and focus of the brand

The Dutch brand Plagron was founded in 1992 and over the past quarter of a century it has gradually developed from a small worm farm into a large international company that is now among the leading manufacturers of soil additives, fertilisers and substrates for indoor and outdoor plant cultivation. For several years it has been one of the world’s best-known brands in the sector and it also has a very good reputation on the Czech market. The wide Plagron product range (see below) is aimed at hobby growers and commercial farmers alike, for whom it represents a guarantee of consistent quality in every pack, whether large or small; at the same time, in line with the company philosophy, all products remain affordable and cost-effective for both categories of growers.

Base fertilisers

At the boundary between plant nutrition and growing media from Plagron is Bat Guano: a soil improver and at the same time the most balanced fertiliser that nature can provide.

SUBSTRATES

SOIL AND NATURAL SUBSTRATES
- Seedling and cutting substrate
- Soil with nutrients for 3 weeks of the cultivation cycle (Growmix) and with added perlite for aeration. This is the best-selling soil substrate from Plagron.
- Lightmix: lightly pre-fertilised soil with nutrients for the first week of the cultivation cycle and with added perlite for aeration.
- Allmix or the premium Royalmix: pre-fertilised soil substrates with a complex composition including perlite and a sufficient nutrient content for the first 6 weeks of the cultivation cycle.
- Batmix: a combination of the best types of peat with bat droppings (Bat Guano).
- Bio Supermix is a balanced natural biological fertiliser that can also be used directly as a substrate for growing in flower pots.
- Mega Worm: a natural substrate whose main component is composted plant residues from worms.

Plagron and certification

Plagron supplies products with a consistent composition to the market, certified by the relevant independent authorities.
Most products are CE certified (Conformité Européenne, in accordance with European regulations).
All Plagron organic products are certified by Control Union and the substrates are partially certified by RHP. You can recognise these products by the CU or RHP logo on the packaging.
All certified products are supplied with a test report drawn up by an independent institute.
