Sprout preparation:
- preparing sprouts at home is very easy thanks to the Mungo - sprouting tray
- sprouts are usually ready to eat in about 3-4 days
- first rinse the seeds in water at room temperature, then pour them into a clean tray and cover them with boiled water at room temperature
- leave the seeds to "pre-swell" for several hours (max. 10 hours), then rinse again and place them in the tray, (they can also be sprouted on cotton wool or in an ordinary tray).
- do not forget to water the sprouts regularly (preferably 2-3x a day)
- the first sprouts suitable for consumption will start to appear after 3 days
- the right temperature for sprouting is 18-22 degrees C and daylight, never place trays with sprouts in direct sunlight
- sprouts can be eaten from a size of 1 cm, the best sprouts are 2 - 3 cm
After sprouting, the sprouts can be stored in the fridge, where they will last about a week. Rinse the sprouts thoroughly before consumption.
