You can comfortably place any growing medium in the black saucer; for Microgreen we recommend:

- HempFlax hemp fibre - fully compostable mats made from hemp fibres
- Grodan growing mat Cress Plate Microgreens -  a growing medium made from mineral wool developed specifically for growing microgreens

Alternatively, you can also use, for example, cut non-woven fabric
