Product detailed description

Advanced Hydroponics PK is a simple flowering additive: a fixed phosphorus and potassium ratio of 13/14, a constant dose of 1 ml per litre, no stepping up. It is added to the base nutrition from the moment the first flowers appear, and is used at every watering until the eleventh week of the cycle. Anyone looking for flowering support without having to recalculate the dose every week will choose it.

How PK fits into watering

Add PK to the already mixed nutrient solution - 1 ml per litre - and then top up the target conductivity with the base fertiliser. Use this enriched watering solution at every watering during the flowering period. PK has a pH-neutral effect and is suitable for indoor and outdoor growing. Shake the bottle before use.

The official dosing table for the range only lists Advanced PK in the seventh and eighth week of the cycle. However, that table combines the entire range at once, and in the later weeks it lists Flowering Boost, which must not be used at the same time as PK. If you do not have Flowering Boost, PK follows the broader window from the first flowers until the eleventh week of the cycle. The last two weeks of the cycle are for flushing, when only Final Solution is added to the water.

PK, Bloom, Flowering Boost, or Excellarator?

The four products in the range are aimed at flowering and can easily be confused. Bloom is the base fertiliser - it supplies the nutrients on which flowering depends, and nothing from this trio can replace it. PK is an additive with a fixed 13/14 ratio and the same dose throughout flowering. Flowering Boost takes a different approach: a carbonate form of phosphorus and potassium and a dose that increases in the final weeks - and it is not combined with PK, you must choose one. Growth/Bloom Excellarator is not a PK supplement at all; it is applied from the fourth week onwards and targets growth and flowering at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I combine PK with Flowering Boost?

No. The official dosing table from Advanced Hydroponics explicitly forbids combining Advanced PK and Flowering Boost. Choose one of them and leave the other out for the whole cycle. PK is a constant choice for the entire flowering period, while Flowering Boost is a stepped-up support for the final weeks before harvest.

Does PK replace the Bloom flowering fertiliser?

No, PK is an additive to the base nutrition, not a replacement for it. Bloom, Grow and Micro form the basis of the watering solution, and PK is added on top of the already mixed solution. If you were to leave out the base fertiliser and dose only PK, the plant would receive phosphorus and potassium, but nothing else.

When should I start and stop using PK?

Start as soon as the first flowers appear and continue at every watering until the eleventh week of the cycle. The last two weeks belong to the final flushing - at that point no fertiliser or additive is dosed into the water. If you follow the official table, it places PK in the seventh and eighth week.

For exact dosing for individual ranges, see the Advanced Hydroponics dosing table.
