The substrate becomes clogged during the cycle: unused fertiliser salts and dead roots remain in it. Advanced Hydroponics Enzymes+ is an addition to the Natural Power range that activates beneficial microorganisms in the medium and helps break down both. It works continuously, week after week, not only at the end of the cycle.

How and when to dose Enzymes+

The dose stays the same throughout: 1 ml per litre of nutrient solution, from the first week of growth. The last week in which Enzymes+ still belongs in the watering is the eleventh. The twelfth and thirteenth weeks are then for flushing, and only Final Solution goes into the water in them; Enzymes+ is discontinued at this stage.

Calculating consumption is easy. At 1 ml per litre each week, 11 ml is used per litre of watering over eleven weeks, which you mix weekly. Anyone mixing five litres a week will use roughly 55 ml over the whole cycle - even the smallest pack therefore lasts longer than one cycle.

What to combine Enzymes+ with

In the first three weeks it is commonly added to the same watering with Root Stimulator, from the fourth week onwards with Growth/Bloom Excellarator. Each of them does something different: Root Stimulator works in the root zone at the start, Excellarator supports growth and bloom, and Enzymes+ takes care of the cleanliness of the medium.

Enzymes+ does not interfere with the final flush and is not added together with it. Ongoing maintenance of the medium during the cycle and a one-off flush in the last fourteen days are two different tasks, and they are done by two different products.

Frequently asked questions

Until when is Enzymes+ dosed?

Until the eleventh week of the cycle inclusive. The last two weeks before harvest are for the final flush, when no fertiliser or additive is added to the water. If you are growing a shorter variety, do not follow the week number, but the harvest date: fourteen days before it, discontinue Enzymes+ and the rest of the range.

Does Enzymes+ replace the final flush?

No, and nor the other way round. Enzymes+ keeps the medium in good condition continuously throughout the cycle at a dose of 1 ml per litre, while flushing is a one-off two-week operation at the very end, during which nothing else is mixed into the water. They are two different steps in the fertilising programme, not two versions of the same thing.

What should I do if I missed Enzymes+ once?

Nothing dramatic. At the next watering, return to the usual dose of 1 ml per litre and do not double it. Catching up for a missed week with a higher dose makes no sense - with additives that work continuously, regularity is more important than the exact total over the cycle.
