Advanced Hydroponics Dutch Formula Starter Pack is a set of four quarter-litre bottles of basic nutrition, making one litre of concentrate in total. It contains 1x 250 ml Grow, 2x 250 ml Bloom and 1x 250 ml Micro. It is the smallest way to purchase the complete Dutch Formula trio at once – suitable when you are just trying out whether this range suits you.

How much of each component is used per cycle

The sum of the weekly doses from the official dosing table works out for the entire cycle, per litre of weekly watering, as follows: 8 ml Grow, 22 ml Bloom and 10 ml Micro. Bloom is therefore used almost three times more than Grow. Of all three bottles, Bloom has the tightest consumption-to-volume ratio, so it runs out first.

How to dose the set

Four bottles, three components, one watering. Grow goes into the water first, followed by Bloom and finally Micro; mix between each bottle. Depending on the week and component, the dose ranges from 0.5 to 3 ml per litre, and in soil, use half doses. Adjust the pH only after the finished solution has been prepared, to a range of 5.8 to 6.2. Do not dose anything from the set during the final two weeks of the cycle – this is the time for flushing.

Starter Pack, TriPack or Starter Kit?

Three sets, three different answers. Starter Pack is the basic trio in quarter-litre bottles, making it the smallest entry option. TriPack is the same trio in litre bottles – four times the volume of Grow and Micro for those who grow regularly. Starter Kit takes a different approach: it adds four Natural Power accessories to the basic trio in half-litre bottles and covers the cycle from rooting to the final flush. The first two sets do not include accessories or CalMag.

Are there really two bottles of Bloom in the set?

Yes. The contents are 1x Grow 250 ml, 2x Bloom 250 ml and 1x Micro 250 ml, one litre of concentrate in total. Bloom is also the component used the most over the cycle: the sum of its weekly doses from the official table is 22 ml per litre of solution, compared with 10 ml for Micro and 8 ml for Grow.

Will Starter Pack last for a whole cycle?

It depends on how much watering you mix each week – the calculation depends on the number of plants and the size of the pots, not on the set itself. You can get the basic Dutch Formula trio in quarter-litre bottles only in this set – Grow, Bloom and Micro are sold separately from 500 ml upwards. For a larger growing operation, choose the litre trio instead. When you need to buy more, start with Bloom.

What is missing from the set?

Accessories. The set contains only the basic trio of Grow, Bloom and Micro. It does not include a root stimulator for the start, an enzymatic accessory, CalMag for reverse-osmosis and soft water, Silica, Amino or flower accessories, and it also lacks a flush product for the final two weeks. These must be purchased separately or included from the outset with the Starter Kit.
