Detailed information

Product detailed description

Advanced Hydroponics Dutch Formula TriPack is a set of three one-litre bottles: Grow, Bloom and Micro. It is the complete base nutrition range in one pack - a trio that you dose with every watering together and which forms the backbone of the entire cycle. Supplements are then added according to what you are growing and in what medium.

Why take the trio straight away, and in litres

The Dutch Formula base nutrition is divided into three bottles, and the ratio between them changes week by week in the official chart. Without any one of them, you cannot mix a complete feed - and finding out in the middle of flowering that one bottle has run out is the worst moment. TriPack solves this problem with one order: one litre of each of the three components.

The doses, depending on the week and component, range from 0.5 to 3 ml per litre of feed; how long a litre lasts depends on how much feed you mix each week. Anyone who grows regularly buys this trio anyway - the difference is whether they have it all at once, or source it bottle by bottle.

Which bottle runs out first

Over the whole cycle, each litre of weekly feed uses 8 ml of Grow, 22 ml of Bloom and 10 ml of Micro - these are the totals of the weekly doses from the official chart. When all three bottles are the same size, Bloom always runs out first, and by a wide margin. When you top up the set, it is the bottle you will reach for first, while Grow will still be left. It is worth knowing this before you are staring at the bottom in week ten.

What is not in the set

TriPack is base nutrition, not a complete fertilising programme. You will not find a root stimulator or an enzymatic starter additive in it, there is no CalMag for osmosis and soft water, Silica and Amino are missing, there are no PK flowering additives and Flowering Boost, and there is no flush for the last two weeks either. If you want the cycle covered including supplements, Advanced Hydroponics Starter Kit solves that; TriPack is the choice for anyone who already has supplements or puts them together themselves.

Frequently asked questions

Which bottle in the set runs out first?

Bloom. The total of its weekly doses over the whole cycle is 22 ml per litre of solution, while for Micro it is 10 ml and for Grow 8 ml. All three bottles have the same one-litre volume in the set, and Bloom is used up significantly sooner than the other two. When topping up, therefore, expect to buy Bloom more often.

Will TriPack last for the whole cycle?

It covers the basic nutrition from the first week of growth until the eleventh week, when the Dutch Formula trio ends. How many cycles you get from the one-litre bottles depends on how much feed you mix each week - the calculation is based on the number of plants and the size of the containers. Supplements and the final flush are not included in the set.

In what order should the components be mixed, and what pH should be set?

The order is fixed: Grow, Bloom, Micro. Pour each component into the water, never one concentrate into another, and stir the solution between bottles. pH measurement only makes sense once the solution is ready; the target range is 5.8 to 6.2. Shake the bottles before dosing and rinse the measuring cup after each component.

Exact dosing for individual ranges can be found in the Advanced Hydroponics dosing chart.
