Prima Klima PK250-ECblue - quiet and efficient extract, 250 mm diameter and 1450 m3/h

Prima Klima PK250-ECblue belongs to the powerful EC ECblue range. The radial impeller with backward-curved blades and the durable body made of non-flammable polyamide (nylon) handle strong extraction through a carbon filter very quietly and with low consumption. The ebm-papst motor is designed for long, continuous operation.

What EC motor means

EC motor (electronically commutated, from the German manufacturer ebm-papst) is a type of motor - efficient, quiet and with smooth electronic speed control built directly into the motor. Unlike a classic AC motor, the speed is not reduced by a loss dimmer, so the fan draws only as much energy as it really needs for the given airflow - even at lower speeds. The result is lower consumption, less noise and a longer service life. EC refers to the motor, not the way it is connected to another device.

Control via external controller

The ECblue range does not have built-in control - it runs at full power from the socket. For smooth automatic speed control according to temperature and humidity, connect an external controller PK-DGTL-THC to the fan via the RJ45 connector (sold separately). One panel then controls the climate clearly from one place. Note: the EC motor itself does not change speed according to the climate - control is provided by the connected controller, not the motor.

Which tent and how to size it

With a maximum airflow of 1450 m3/h, the fan is suitable for a large grow room and demanding setups with long ducting. The fan diameter, filter flange and ducting should all be the same (250 mm) - otherwise unnecessary resistance, power loss and noise occur. A carbon filter and bends reduce the actual airflow, so choose the fan with a reserve above the space requirement.

The maximum airflow of 1450 m3/h at a diameter of 250 mm covers a large grow room and demanding setups with long ducting. Allow a reserve: a carbon filter and duct bends reduce the actual airflow of the setup, so choose the fan with more than enough capacity for the tent rather than exactly at the limit.

Do I need a controller for the fan?
