Prima Klima PK200-ECblue - quiet and efficient extract, 200 mm diameter and 1350 m3/h

Prima Klima PK200-ECblue belongs to the powerful ECblue EC range. The radial impeller with backward-curved blades and the durable body made of non-flammable polyamide (nylon) handle strong extraction through a carbon filter very quietly and with low consumption. The ebm-papst motor is designed for long, continuous operation.

What an EC motor means

EC motor (electronically commutated, from the German manufacturer ebm-papst) is a type of motor - efficient, quiet and with smooth electronic speed control built directly into the motor. Unlike a classic AC motor, the speed is not reduced by a loss dimmer, so the fan draws only as much energy as it really needs for the given airflow - even at lower speeds. The result is lower consumption, less noise and a longer service life. EC refers to the motor, not the way it is connected to another device.

Control via an external controller

The ECblue range does not have built-in control - it runs at full power from the socket. For smooth automatic speed control according to temperature and humidity, connect an external controller PK-DGTL-THC to the fan via the RJ45 connector (sold separately). One panel then controls the climate clearly from one place. Please note: the EC motor itself does not change speed according to the climate - control is provided by the connected controller, not the motor.

Which tent it suits and how to size it

With a maximum airflow of 1350 m3/h, the fan is suitable for a grow room, multiple tents or demanding extraction through a filter. The fan diameter, filter flange and ducting should all be the same (200 mm) - otherwise unnecessary resistance, power loss and noise occur. A carbon filter and bends reduce the actual airflow, so choose the fan with a reserve above the space requirement.

How large a tent is the fan suitable for?

The maximum airflow of 1350 m3/h with a 200 mm diameter covers a grow room, multiple tents or demanding extraction through a filter. Allow a reserve: the carbon filter and duct bends reduce the actual airflow of the system, so choose the fan with more than enough capacity for the tent rather than exactly on the limit.

Do I need a controller for the fan?

Yes, for automatic climate control. The ECblue range does not have built-in control - for smooth speed control according to temperature and humidity, connect the external PK-DGTL-THC controller to it via the RJ45 connector (sold separately). Without it, the fan runs at full power.
